In the first four months of this year, the output of slaughtered meat was estimated at 27,235 tonnes, meeting 40.6% of the local plan for 2023 and growing 31.6% from last year. The total poultry population, meanwhile, stood at over 6.75 million, or 94% of the plan and a 14.4% annual increase.

These results were attributable to Yen Bai's focus on various solutions, such as promoting livestock development through sustainable farming models, developing semi-industrial livestock farming, raising marketable cattle, rebuilding pig and poultry populations, and effectively implementing Resolution 69 of the provincial People's Council on support policies for agro-forestry-fishery development for 2021-2025.
