Luc Van Anh, a farmer in residential area No.9, one of the big peach growers in Yen The town, said since 2019, his household has focused on growing peach trees for sale in Yen The town and nearby provinces. His family now has about 200 pink peach stumps that are being meticulously cared for.

According to him, peach blossoms depend entirely on weather conditions. Their leaves could be plucked earlier in cold weather so that they could bloom beautifully on the 25th and 26th days of the last lunar month.

At this time, family of Pham Quang Trung in residential area No.12 was busy with taking care of the peach garden to prepare for Tet. He chose this kind of tree because it takes less labour and brings about high economic value. He grows peach trees naturally with weeding, spraying insecticides and plucking leaves so that prices are affordable for middle-income earners. Up to now, his peach garden has over 100 stumps in shape with big buds, which are expected to bloom on Tet.

Yen The town is home to a large number of ornamental peach growers in Luc Yen district. According to long-time peach growing households, the favourable weather conditions make it easier for peach blossoms to grow well. To make them bloom on Tet holiday, farming households are pruning and fertilising trees. To have a beautiful peace tree, pruning, bending and shaping are important.

The Lunar New Year 2021 is approaching, peach blossoms are waiting to show off on the occasion, making the spring picture more lively and paying off for farmers.
