3rd congress of Yen Bai Province’s Business Association held

YBO - Yen Bai Province’s Business Association has successfully organised its 3rd congress, 2022 - 2027 tenure.

During the 2016 - 2022 tenure, the association promoted its role as a bridge between entrepreneurs and the Party committees and administrations; promptly popularised the Party’s guidelines, State policies, laws, and socio-economic orientation to enterprises; and coordinated to implement solutions to support production, employment, and income for employees.

Businesses in the province have created jobs for more than 22,000 workers, with an average income of 9 million VND (380 USD) per person per month, and made up over 60% of the total budget balance of the province.

Association members have donated over 150 billion VND for poverty alleviation, new-styled rural area construction, and social security activities.

The congress elected the third Executive Committee of the Provincial Business Association for the 2022 - 2027 term.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan was elected as Honorary Chairman of the association.

Entrepreneur Bui Thi Suu was re-elected as chairwoman of the Yen Bai Province’s Business Association for the 2022 - 2027 term.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) awarded campaign medals "For the cause of Vietnamese Business Development” to six individuals.

Yen Bai provincial People's Committee, the VCCI, and Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises awarded Certificates of Merit to groups and individuals with outstanding performance in building and developing the business association of Yen Bai province./.

In 2024, Nghia Lo Town developed seven new products meeting the 3-star OCOP standard and reevaluated seven products after three years of certification.

The global Halal market is valued at approximately USD 5 trillion annually, with a strong demand for cinnamon and tea products. This presents significant export opportunities for Yen Bai Province.

In 2024, Yen Bai City achieved vocational training for 2,259 individuals, exceeding the target of 1,790 by 115%. Of this total, 578 people were trained at the college level, achieving 125% of the assigned target of 461.
