The localities also performed well the forecasting of pests and diseases on crops, and early directed the implementation of pest control, so the damage on the main crops was basically reduced. Farmers are also provided with timely, safe and effective technical measures to deal with infested areas.

During the crop, technical advances in seeds, fertilisers and farming have been widely applied by local people. Agricultural mechanisation has received due attention and investment, contributing to improving labour productivity and reducing pressure on human resources.

From now to the end of the crop, localities will actively prevent late-season rains and floods from affecting rice yield; and mobilise vehicles and human resources to quickly harvest ripe rice.

Yen Bai will prepare enough seeds and fertilizers to supply for the winter crop to promptly meet the production needs of districts, towns and Yen Bai city.
