Giang A Thenh, Vice Chairman of Cao Pha Commune People's Committee, said the locality planted about 100 hectares or Tan sticky rice in the 2021 summer-autumn crop and its output reached 500 tonnes.

This year, the commune has encouraged locals to cultivate in accordance with the zoning plan to facilitate the management in areas totaling over 100 hectares.

Khau Pha Organic Agriculture Cooperative was established last year and is led by Lo Van Thuan who resides in Lim Thai village.

Thuan said that the cooperative has collaborated with two farmers' associations with 60 members in the commune to cultivate Tan sticky rice in a total area of over 14 hectares and reaped a total output of over 71 tonnes a year.

Currently, the cooperative buys unhusked rice from locals with prices ranging from about 18,000 VND to 20,000 VND (0.77-0.85 USD) per kg.
