Online event links Yen Bai enterprises with Asian peers

YBO - The Yen Bai provincial Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Asia - Africa Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and Vietnam’s trade offices in India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, and Taiwan to organise a conference matching local businesses with Asian partners.

At the event, participating enterprises were provided with information about export markets, export standards, consumer tastes, the possibility of setting up relations with exporting and importing firms, food safety requirements, and ways to contact trade promotion bodies to connect with domestic businesses.

The conference was a chance for local enterprises to seek partnerships with foreign firms and connect supply and demand to increase opportunities for directly exporting their products, thereby contributing to the province’s export growth as well as local socio-economic development.

In 2024, Nghia Lo Town developed seven new products meeting the 3-star OCOP standard and reevaluated seven products after three years of certification.

The global Halal market is valued at approximately USD 5 trillion annually, with a strong demand for cinnamon and tea products. This presents significant export opportunities for Yen Bai Province.

In 2024, Yen Bai City achieved vocational training for 2,259 individuals, exceeding the target of 1,790 by 115%. Of this total, 578 people were trained at the college level, achieving 125% of the assigned target of 461.
