Yen Bai begins construction of two transport projects

YBO - The Yen Bai People’s Committee, on September 19, held a ceremony in Tram Tau district to begin the construction of a road connecting the National Highway 32 with the provincial highway 174 and a project to repair and upgrade the Tram Tau – Bac Yen road.

The  linking road spans 47km in length, starting from Km195+300 of the National Highway 32 in Nghia Lo commune (Nghia Lo town) and ending at Km47+00 in Hat Luu commune (Tram Tau district). The construction costs over 438 billion VND (18.9 million USD) and is expected to be completed in 2023.

The upgrade of the 16km Tram Tau – Bac Yen, which links Tram Tau to Bac Yen district in Son La province, has total investment of 260 billion VND. Of the sum, 168 billion VND is for construction and land clearance costs 36 billion VND. 

Once completed, the two transport projects will help improve Tram Tau’s transport network and boost cultural and economic exchanges in contribution to socio-economic development and ensuring security-defence of Tram Tau and Yen Bai.

The completion of Son Luong - Sung Do - Nam Muoi inter-commune road makes it easier for people to trade goods and foster local socio-economic development.

Yen Bai aims to lure 60-80 investment projects each year.

A mountainous locality with many difficulties, Yen Bai has defined investment attraction as a key solution to boost the local socio-economic development.
