Yen Bai strives for 22 urban areas in 2025

YBO - Yen Bai province currently has 12 urban areas, including one tier-3, one tier-4 and 10 tier-5 cities. To date, the locality’s urbanisation rate has reached 20.19%.

All the 12 cities have had their own urban development masterplans.

The province's great attention and drastic direction in allocating resources for urban planning and development work in recent years has provided an important legal basis and created favourable conditions for the management of construction in accordance with planning, serving sustainable urban development.

Yen Bai sets a target of 28% in urbanisation ratio and 22 urban areas in 2025. The figures are expected to reach 30% and 26, respectively, in 2030.

The completion of Son Luong - Sung Do - Nam Muoi inter-commune road makes it easier for people to trade goods and foster local socio-economic development.

Residents in Van Chan district donated land to build over 100km of roads in 2023, of which over 96 km were asphalted. To date, all inter-commune roads and over 84% of inter-village roads have been paved.
