Yen Bai attracts 585 investment projects

YBO - As of March 15, Yen Bai province had attracted 585 projects, including 35 foreign-invested ones with a total registered capital of over 86.9 trillion VND (3.78 billion USD) and 465.7 million USD. Of the total, there were 48 projects in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishery; 431 in industry and construction; and 106 others in trade, tourism, services and other economic sectors.

Some projects with large investment include the 320 billion VND Ban Hoc resort eco-tourism project of Van Chan Investment and Trade Service joint Stock Company; Kien Phat paper factory project of Kien Phat Trade and Industrial JSC and Tengfeng Paper Company Limited (China) with a total registered capital of 300 billion VND; a pesticide, insecticide and fertilizer factory of BMC Yen Bai joint Stock Company with a total capital of 230 billion VND; and a factory producing aluminum profiles and supporting industrial products of the Vietnam Supporting Industry Development Co., Ltd with a total capital of 230 billion VND.

Over the past time, the province has promoted administrative procedure reform and simplification, synchronously implemented mechanisms and policies to mobilise maximum resources from non-state economic sectors, strengthened reform in investment promotion, with focus on promoting the province's potential and strengths, and the local business and investment environment and opportunities.
