Construction of Vu Gia Yen Bai limestone factories kicks off

YBO - The Yen Bai People’s Committee, in collaboration with Vu Gia Yen Bai Mineral Processing and Exploitation joint Stock Company, organised a ceremony to begin construction work at the Vu Gia Yen Bai white limestone project in Hop Nhat village, Thinh Hung commune, Yen Binh district on August 11.

The project worth over 2.24 trillion VND (96.11 million USD) spans 25.5 hectares. It consists of two factories processing white limestone to produce ashlar stone and rock dust serving the domestic markets and a number of overseas markets like India, China, and Italy.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2021 and the second phase in 2024.

The plants, once operational, will create some 500 jobs and generate about nearly 2 trillion VND of annual revenue, of which 80 billion VND contributed to the State budget.
