Duy thanked the embassy for its welcome and support Yen Bai province in connecting and working with the Regional Government of Veneto, and Italian associations and businesses.

He briefed participants on Yen Bai’s potential, strengths, preferential policies to encourage investment in the province, and outstanding results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defence - security, and building the Party and the political system.

He suggested the embassy and Ambassador Duong Hai Hung continue to support and be a bridge connecting Vietnam and Italy in general, and Yen Bai and Italian localities in particular.

He hoped that Ambassador Hung would help Yen Bai establish local-level cooperation with the Veneto region, and encourage Italian companies and investors to implement collaborative programmes and projects in the province, thus contributing to strengthening and diversifying foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into the province, especially in deep processing of minerals, and premium construction materials.

Duy called for support from the embassy for the locality to expand exports of its products of strength to the Italian market, including wood, cinnamon, plastic beads, and packaging; and promoting the mages of natural beauty, people, and unique cultural identities to attract Italian investors which are interested in investing in tourism development projects, as well as Italian tourists to Yen Bai.

For his part, Ambassador Hung said the embassy will actively coordinate with and enhance connectivity to help Yen Bai sign cooperation agreements with the Regional Government of Veneto, and is willing to support the locality in investment promotion activities in the European nation.
