Military Region 2 High Command leaders visit, extend Lunar New Year wishes in Yen Bai province

A delegation of Military Region 2 High Command led by Major General Nguyen Dang Khai, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff on January 16 extended New Year wishes to Yen Bai provincial Party Committee, authorities, people and armed forces in the province.

Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, received the delegation.

At the meeting, Duy briefed the delegation on socio-economic achievements of the province in 2022. Yen Bai's Gross Regional Domestic Products growth was 8.62%, exceeding the plan, budget revenue 78.4% higher than that assigned by the central government, and poverty rate reduced by 5.05%. An additional 11 communes met new-styled rural area criteria, which marks a better result than the orientation of the National Target Programme for the period of 2021 - 2025 for mountainous provinces.
