Yen Bai Strives to Send 1,200 Workers Abroad for Employment

As of March 17, Yen Bai province has facilitated the departure of 180 workers for employment abroad, achieving 15.3% of the annual target. These workers are primarily employed in key markets such as South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Notably, ethnic minorities and individuals from impoverished households account for 54% of the total. All nine districts in the province have participated in the labor export program.

To effectively implement the provincial initiative on labor export and meet the 2025 target of sending 1,200 workers abroad, as well as promoting student participation in international training programs, Yen Bai authorities are urging relevant sectors and localities to review and identify labor export demand. Particular focus is placed on young workers, demobilized military personnel, and individuals from impoverished or near-poor households. Additionally, efforts are being intensified to disseminate information and raise awareness regarding labor export opportunities to encourage broader participation.
The province is also organizing training conferences to guide local authorities on labor export policies, strengthening monitoring and inspection efforts, and clearly assigning responsibilities to designated agencies and officials for regular reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Measures are being taken to prevent any disruptions in policy implementation and to ensure that organizational issues do not hinder the achievement of set targets.
