Yen Bai to Organize Olympic Run for Public Health on March 23

YBO - The Olympic Run for Public Health will take place at 8:00 AM on March 23, 2025, at the August 19 Square in Yen Bai City. This event aims to encourage people from all walks of life to engage in physical exercise and sports, in response to the movement “The Entire Population Exercises Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Example” and the campaign “Health for Career and National Defense” among the younger generation. The run contributes to improving public health for studying, working, production, and national construction and defense.

Approximately 2,000 participants are expected to join, including residents from local communes, wards, and townships, as well as officials, soldiers, civil servants, students, workers, and employees from agencies, organizations, schools, military and police units, central agencies based in Yen Bai, businesses, and sports clubs.

The event venue will be decorated with banners, slogans, and flags at the starting and finishing points, along main roads, and in densely populated areas. The slogans will include: "The Entire Population Exercises Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Example,” "Health for National Construction and Defense,” "Exercise for National Defense,” and "Exercise for Nation Building.” Additionally, banners will celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025), the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – March 27, 2025), and the 90th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Militia and Self-Defense Force (March 28, 1935 – March 28, 2025), along with slogans promoting the implementation of local political tasks.
