YBO - A ceremony to launch production and business activities in 2024 has been held in Yen Bai city by the Party Committee of the agencies and businesses’ bloc of Yen Bai province in collaboration with the provincial Business Association.

Despite many difficulties and challenges in 2023, the local business community has stayed united and overcome obstacles while implementing solutions, maintaining production and business, creating jobs and income for thousands of workers.

Businesses in the province contributed more than 1.33 trillion VND (53 million USD) to the State budget in 2023, accounting for 60.67% of the total revenue in the locality, thus contributing to creating jobs, raising incomes for workers, reducing poverty sustainably and ensuring social security in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan praised the attainments that the provincial business community obtained in the past year.

He asked the business community to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, determination, proactiveness and creativity, enhancing internal capacity, self-reliance, adaptability, improving productivity, quality, and production and business efficiency while raising awareness, changing thinking, ways of working, producing and doing business based on digital technology to accompany the province in the process of implementing solutions to promote
innovation, green growth, and digital transformation.

The chairman also asked localities to implement solutions and activities to support businesses such as trade promotion, market search support, partners, human resources training, branding, startups, innovation, digital transformation, among others while maintaining the effective and practical implementation of supporting programmes such as the "Weekend with people and businesses" and "Entrepreneur's Coffee" activities.


The Party Committee of the Agencies and Businesses' Bloc praises 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing production and business tasks in 2023.

Notably, the province ranks among the 35 provinces and cities with disbursement rates higher than the national average.

Since 2021, Yen Bai Province has transitioned 39,289 workers from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors.

Over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, Yen Bai Province has created jobs for 110,339 workers. Of these: 56,393 were employed through socio-economic development programs, 11,907 accessed loans from the National Employment Fund, 2,886 worked abroad under labor export programs, and 39,153 were supplied to out-of-province employers.
