Yen Bai city hosts "Cultural colours of ethnic groups in Yen Bai" art programme

YBO - Yen Bai city in coordination with Luc Yen, Van Yen, Yen Binh and Tram Tau districts organised an art programme with the theme "Cultural colors of ethnic groups in Yen Bai”.

This is an activity to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the liberation of the South and reunification of the country (April 30, 1975- 2023); 137 years of the International Labour Day (May 1, 1886-2023) and 78 years of the establishment of the Party organisation of Yen Bai city (May 7, 1945 -2023).

The event, which attracted the participation of 1,400 professional and amateur artists from Yen Bai city and districts in the province, consisted of three parts.

Part I - Artistic performances with the theme "Cultural colours of ethnic groups in Yen Bai" and a show of ethnic costumes.

Part II - Folk dance performance "Ngay hoi non song " (National festival) with the attendance of more than 1,000 people.

Part III – Mua sap, a traditional ethnic dance with bamboo poles and demonstrations of cultural characteristics of ethnic groups at Hao Gia pedestrian street with the participation of 450 residents from Yen Bai city’s Dong Tam ward.

The art programme is part of a series of tourism events to be held during the Reunification Day and International Labour Day holidays by localities in the province which aim at promoting the typical cultural characteristics of the land and people of Yen Bai to domestic and international tourists.

She went on to say that Hekou district pledged to popularise the images of Yen Bai city in particular and Yen Bai province in general so that more international friends know about the Vietnamese locality.

A friendly talk and exchange programme has been held between Yen Bai city of the northern province of Yen Bai and a delegation of Hekou district in China’s Yunnan province.
