Accordingly, a wide range of activities will be organised, including booths introducing specialties and organic products of each locality, a feast contest, and a photo exhibition named "Land and People of Van Yen".

The feast contest will see the participation of food service businesses and teams from 25 localities in the district. Each team will prepare a feast from local ingredients and food that ensure freshness, food hygiene and safety, and eye-catching arrangement. The organising board will score and award certificates to winning dishes, and introduce them to restaurants so that parties can discuss the inclusion of these dishes in the restaurants’ menus.

At the festival, there will be 32 booths, including seven located in the pedestrian street area for food businesses of Mau A town, and 25 at the square for 25 localities, with typical local culinary dishes to serve tourism such as sturgeon, ‘mit’ fish, Chiem Huong rice, black chicken, pig, and fish and snails caught from streams.

Through the festival, Van Yen wishes to restore, promote, and introduce traditional culinary dishes in the district to people and tourists; continue discovering new delicious ones to add to the list of the district’s typical dishes; and promote cooperation to develop the production and processing of local cuisine to serve the task of developing services and tourism./.
