Addressing the event, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Yen Bai city Nguyen Ngoc Truc briefed the guests about the city's strengths in the fields of industry, tourism, services, health care, education, and infrastructure.

Boasting convenient transportation connectivity, diverse resources, abundant human resources and open investment policy, Yen Bai city has many development opportunities and is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, he said.

Yen Bai city and Yuxi city in China's Yunnan province signed an agreement to establish relations on September 17, 2021, Truc noted.

For her part, Deng Rui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and head of the administration of Hekou district, said she expected that in the coming time, the two localities will continue to expand exchanges and cooperation, and strengthen market connection to develop supply chains in such areas as cross-border industry, green economic development, tourism and exhibition.

The two sides will research and build connections to attract investment and promote industries in line with the strengths of each locality, she added.

The Chinese official said that it is necessary to establish an exchange mechanism between the two local administrations, especially in the fields of education, health care, culture and tourism.
