Yen Bai’s export turnover reaches 151.69 million USD in first half

Yen Bai province's export turnover reached 151.69 million USD in the first six months of 2023, equal to 88% of the set plan and up 4% year-on-year, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

Many sectors have recorded decreases in exports, including industry and mineral processing; garments, and plastic granule products. The trend of export products shifted from raw products to deeply processed products.
Yen Bai has seven enterprises specialising in exporting goods to member countries of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTTP), with total export value in 2022 hitting 7 million USD, including export items of sawn stone, wooden chopsticks, and bamboo shoots. Three businesses have exported goods to member countries of the EU – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), with export value in 2022 totaling about 2 million USD./.
