The event provided a chance for sectors and administrations at all levels as well as parents to listen to the voice of children and give timely measures to ensure a safe and healthy life for them.

In order to effectively implement activities in the month, the Yen Bai Steering Committee for child protection underlined the need to strengthen collaboration among local departments, sectors and organisations in caring and protecting children, preventing abuse and violence against children as well as drowning and incidents among children. At the same time, it is necessary to build models of community-based child protection under diverse forms, according to the committee.

It also stressed the need for the effective implementation of policies in education, health care, culture, sports as well as social welfare for children, while mobilising resources from organisations and individuals to organise entertainment activities for children and realise policies to support needy children. At the same time, efforts will also be made to encourage organisations and individuals to assist children facing difficult circumstances directly or through the provincial Fund for Children.

On the occasion, the committee also launched a campaign to raise funds for the provincial Fund for Children in 2023.

At the event, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children and the provincial Fund for Children presented 50 scholarships to outstanding children in the locality, along with 100 gift packages to 100 poor children with outstanding academic performance. Bao Viet Insurance’s Yen Bai branch also presented 30 bicycles to needy children in Van Yen.
