Aiming at breakthroughs across the four pillars of digital governance, digital economy, digital society, and digital data, Yen Binh has issued a plan on carrying out digital transformation in 2022 and for 2022-2025.

Last year, the district was placed third among nine localities in Yen Bai province’s digital transformation ranking.

So far, Yen Binh has put into use an administration and document management system, platforms for paperless and online meetings, electronic health records, e-commerce, e-payment, and remote medical examination and treatment, among other activities. All of its 24 communes and towns as well as 177/177 villages and residential groups have established community-based digital transformation teams.

Addressing the function, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung recommended Yen Binh set up an advisory council to promote digital transformation.

Dung, also a member of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, noted that the ministry will offer the district periodical assistance to complete the task.

On the occasion, the district activated its systems for smart education; smart reports; and noncash payment serving social welfare beneficiaries. The Yen Binh People’s Committee also signed a cooperation pact on digital transformation toward 2030 with the Yen Bai Department of Information and Communications and the provincial branches of telecoms groups VNPT and Viettel./.
