Tuan presented Yen Bai’s potential and advantages for socio-economic development, and highlighted the fields it is attracting investment to such as stone mining, healthcare personnel and infrastructure development, digital transformation, and the agricultural products it has strength in like cinnamon and tea.

For his part, Senguptasaid said that thanks to support from Yen Bai authorities, Indian businesses in the province have been operating rather fruitfully, but they have just focused on mineral mining and need to invest more in intensive mining and processing. Therefore, the delegation hopes that Yen Bai will continue assisting Indian firms to develop in this field.

INCHAM and Indian enterprises also hope to have more opportunities for cooperation in digital transformation and pharmaceutical production with Yen Bai. They also look forward to collaboration in training pharmacists and doctors, and in education, especially English language training to help narrow the gap of foreign language skills between Yen Bai and other localities, he added.

The INCHAM Chairman noted his country is currently a major importer of cinnamon and tea, so its businesses will also consider investment in developing these products in the province.
