Int’l fine art exhibition gathers Vietnamese, Korean artists

YBO- The Yen Bai provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations held an international fine art exhibition at the local museum on April 26, attracting painters from Yen Bai and Phu Tho provinces and the K-Art International Art Exchange Association.

Attending the event were artist, director, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien - Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Art Associations, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association Luong Xuan Doan, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Chairman of the Phu Tho provincial Union of Literature and Arts Do Ngoc Dung, and leaders of the K-Art International Art Exchange Association.


Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh and delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition. 

The event was a joint effort among the K-Art International Art Exchange Association, the Fine Arts associations of Yen Bai and Phu Tho provinces.

It gathers 57 outstanding paintings on various materials by 35 artists from Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, including 24 paintings by 12 Yen Bai artists, 16 others by 14 Phu Tho artists, and 17 ones by 9 Korean artists. It is also the first time the K-Art International Art Exchange Association has met and exchanged with artists from Yen Bai through an art exhibition.

The exhibited works have diverse layouts and themes, materials and forms of expression, but they all share the common theme of praising the love for the homeland, landscapes, daily life, people, and cultural identity of the Korean and Yen Bai, Phu Tho ethnic groups. They belong to various forms of art such as painting, graphic art, and sculpture and showcase unique personalities and styles, leaving a profound impression on the viewers.


Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh presents certificates to the authors of exhibited artworks. 

The event also provides a platform for artists from the two countries to exchange experience, and serves as a cultural bridge to bring the two countries' people closer together amid the global integration and development, contributing to further affirming the profound friendship between Vietnamese and Korean people in general, and between the artists of Yen Bai and Phu Tho provinces and the K-Art International Art Exchange Association in particular. It will last till May 25./.
