Nearly 6,000 management cadres and teachers are working in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas in Yen Bai province at present, accounting for 45.7% of local teachers. Most of them have performed duties in mountainous areas for at least 10 years, and many have voluntarily devoted their entire youth to education in these areas.

Under the direction of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, this is the second time Yen Bai has sent teachers with outstanding performance in particularly disadvantaged districts and communes to other places as they wish.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan praised the teachers for their contributions, efforts, and achievements while working in mountainous and disadvantaged areas.

He expressed his hope that the 46 teachers will bring into play their valuable experience gained during their time in mountainous areas to continue dedicating to the province's education and training sector.
