Construction on the bridge began in December 2019. After one year of construction, with efforts of the investor and contractors joining the project as well as local residents, the work was completed eight months ahead of schedule. 

The bridge is 400m long with two approach roadways having a total length of 1,400m. It is permanently designed with reinforced concrete and reinforced concrete at a total cost of 330 billion VND, connecting provincial road 163 (Yen Bai - Khe Sang) with provincial road 166 (Au Lau - Dong An), and especially disadvantaged communes on the right bank of the Red River of Tran Yen district with the district’s centre, transportation system of Yen Bai province in general and Tran Yen district in particular has been gradually perfected. 

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan presents certificates of merit to collectives for their contributions to the project. 

The bridge not only facilitates travelling and trade, lays a foundation for the development of Tran Yen district to the right bank of the Red River but also creates a driving force to attract investment, build new urban areas, trade-service centres, develop health care, education, tourism and industrial parks in communes in Tran Yen district and nearby localities. 

At the ceremony, the provincial People’s Committee granted certificates of merit to six collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the project.
