The event aimed at introducing and popularizing Yen Bai’s typical agricultural and aquatic products, with the highlight being Yen Binh district’s specialties such as Dai Minh pomelo, Thac Ba lake fish and Bach Ha rice, to consumers in Hanoi, thus contributing to the implementation of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using made-in-Vietnam products” campaign.

The promotional event is expected to stimulate the consumption of VietGap-standard farm produce and increase products’ value, thus helping businesses expand and develop their production.

Products of the province’s outstanding businesses and cooperatives were showcased at 20 booths.

This was an opportunity for Yen Bai businesses and cooperatives to sign deals on product distribution with Big C Supermarket.

Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Communication Director of Central Retail Vietnam, said: "GO and Big C supermarket chains of Central Retail have begun selling goods for Tet, including products of Yen Bai province such as dried bamboo shoots, vermicelli, dried pork and buffalo meat. Through this event, Central Retail hopes to find more partners and suppliers to better meet the demand for goods which is forecast to surge in the coming New Year holidays”./.
