Yen Bai hosts over 805,000 visitors in first half

YênBái - Yen Bai province welcomed 805,755 tourists, including 2,200 foreigners, in the first 6 months of 2022, equaling 73.3% of the yearly plan and up 59.6% against the same period last year.

As a result, tourism revenue exceeded 524.3 billion VND (22.45 million USD), equaling 62% of the yearly plan and representing an annual growth of 96.5%. These figures showed that the local tourism sector is recovering and developing strongly since its transition to the "new normal".

In the first half, the province focused on implementing measures to stimulate demand and reopen tourism following its tourism and recovery plans for 2022.

In the time to come, it is set to further improve the quality of existing products and develop new ones at key tourist areas such as Thac Ba lake-Chay river, Yen Bai city, and the Bac Tran Yen – Van Yen tourist area.

Yen Bai now eyes tourism revenue of approximately 845 billion VND for the entire year.
