More than 4,300 hectares of Yen Bai forests granted FSC, VFCS/PEFC certificates

YênBái - To date, 4,347.9 hectares of forests in Yen Bai province have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and got the international sustainable forest management certificate in accordance with the Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (VFCS/PEFC). Meanwhile, 6,757.8 hectares are waiting to get the FSC certificate.

The area with forest certifications completed as of 2021 reached 11,105 out of 11,542 hectares, equal to 96.2% of the plan. The remaining 437.1 hectares are transferred to 2022 for continued implementation.
Yen Bai plans to have 12,894.4 hectares of certified forest in 2022, an increase of 437.1 hectares in Yen Binh district which were originally in the 2021 plan and transferred to this year.
