Scholarships benefit Yen Bai student

As many as 12 students with difficult circumstances, including six from ethnic minorities, received scholarships of the “Brighten the future” fund over the last 18 months.

Implemented since 2020 in two phases, the project has helped local poor students overcome difficulties for high academic achievements.

In the first phase, students from local high schools received scholarships worth 1.5 million VND (nearly 65 USD) each in two or three years. Meanwhile, local students studying in universities were presented 2 million VND each in four or five years in the second phase.

The funding was donated by enterprises in and outside the locality, and members of the provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association.
