Mineral processing products and garments and textiles account for a high proportion of the province’s export structure. In the first quarter of this year, its export value stood at 62.2 million USD, up 24 percent year-on-year, fulfilling the target and equalling 22 percent of the five-year plan.

At a recent conference on promoting export activities in 2022, delegates highlighted a number of Yen Bai’s advantages and potential as well as the limitations, difficulties, and challenges it faces. 

It will promote the application of high technology to improve workplace productivity, continue to boost the effectiveness of trade promotion programmes, and introduce policies to encourage enterprises to invest in production projects, from raw material production to processing and exports.

Along with strengthening the dissemination of detailed information on new-generation free trade agreements and policy changes, Yen Bai will also focus on supporting export activities through improving credit policies of commercial banks, promoting administrative reform, and creating the necessary conditions for businesses to develop.
