The event, held in both online and offline formats, was part of the two sides’ joint project on boosting personnel’s capacity and people’s awareness serving the improvement of access to support services for women and children inflicted by gender-based violence.

It aimed to raise awareness on the importance of trauma sensitivity; and strengthen inter-agency commitment in coordinating responses to the victims’ need.

The workshop drew the participation of 70 delegates from the two organisations, and related public agencies in Van Chan district and two communes that involve in the project.

Participants focused on discussing a series of issues, including strategies for preventing gender-based violence; multi-sectoral interventions in supporting the victims; the application of assistance based on understanding of trauma via the practical implementation of the project.
