Thanks to these efforts, the district has been on a right track to realise the country’s twin goals of keeping the COVID-19 at bay, and sustainably reviving the economy and ensuring social welfare.

It has established a fleet of coaches to assist the COVID-19 fight, with nearly 400 volunteers supporting the return of over 1,000 people who completed mandatory quarantine to their hometown and the transport of more than 25,000 COVID-19 testing samples.

Patriotic emulation movements have been widely popularised and enthusiastically supported by administration officials, Party members and civilians. The most notably among them were "Thu Bay cung dan” (Saturday with people), "Dich rao hien dat” (Fence relocation for land donation), "5 khong, 5 sach” (five nos, five cleans), "all people unite to build better life”, and "all people engage in protecting national security”.

Additionally, the district has placed great focus on vocational training, job creation and introduction, with the rate of trained workers exceeding 99 percent of the yearly plan.

People’s satisfaction on public services reached 100 percent, with 91.2 percent of respondents saying that they were very satisfied.

In the coming time, Van Yen plans to focus more on raising its happiness index in tandem with building Van Yen people’s reputation as kind, friendly, creative and ambitious people.
