The projects won the first prize at the provincial contest in the 2021-22 academic year. They were of the Nguyen Tat Thanh Specialised High School and the Le Quy Don High School. Students of the schools performed brilliantly at the competition.

A device supporting movements and rehabilitation of people with paraplegia created by Le Khanh Linh of Class 11V and Le Pham Hai Nam of Class 12L under the guidance of teacher Luc Thi Thu Hoai of the Nguyen Tat Thanh Specialised High School won the fourth prize at the national contest.

Meanwhile, a device to dig holes for planting cinnamon by Nguyen Van Hai and Le Minh Tam of Class 12A3 from the Le Quy Don High School in Tran Yen district under guidance of Hoang Thi Tuan won the ‘Trien vong’ prize.

Of the total 144 projects from 71 units nationwide competing at the national contest, 12 earned the first prize, 15 received the second and 17 bagged the third prize.

As many as 27 projects clinched the fourth prize and 23 others were presented the ‘Trien vong’ prize.

The projects earned certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. The students also gained an advantage in the university entrance exams as many tertiary establishments offer direct admission or give priority to award-winning students.
