Nearly 6,670 ideas have been proposed as part of the emulation movement inviting new initiatives and ideas from youngsters, and four creative clubs for young talents founded.

The province sent four creative projects to the creativity festival for young people in the northwestern region last year, one of which won a first prize.

Many units have become innovative in organising events in the face of COVID-19, including a talk on young ethnic minority intellectuals and digital transformation which attracted nearly 100 delegates, the establishment of a startup idea platform for young people and children, a provincial startup incubator for young people, a provincial competition on cultural identity for local children and others.

The Yen Bai Vocational College has initiated the organisation of a startup idea contest for students at vocational schools called Startup Kite in 2021 while the province’s HCYU has hosted a programme to light up students’ startup dreams that attracted about 500 local students.

The provincial HCYU has also advised provincial authorities on launching a project to provide support for the development of local startups from 2021 – 2025 and organising the third competition on startup ideas and projects among the youths last year which received a total of 381 entries.

It has also organised training courses on expanding collective business models, raising awareness and improving entrepreneurship skills and capacity for 330 young adults.

Collective business models have been scaled up across all the nine districts of Yen Bai, with 84 collective groups and 11 cooperatives established.
