Pung Luong adorned with white pear blossoms

Pung Luong commune of Mu Cang Chai district becomes more beautiful every February and early March, when white pear blossoms are in full bloom.

Pung Luong commune of Mu Cang Chai district boasts sub-temperate climate conditions and the Mong ethnic group’s special culture. In recent years, local residents have planted the "tai nung” pear variety.

In this place, pear is not only a type of fruit tree with a high economic value but also helps develop tourism and improve local people’s living standards.



Many people have made use of this time of the year to capture beautiful moments in the pear blossom forest.

So far, more than 5ha of the "tai nung” pear have been grown in Pung Luong commune, with nearly 1ha having yielded fruit, generating over 100 million VND (4,400 USD) in revenue per hectare.


In the time ahead, Pung Luong commune is set to plant another more than 50ha of "tai nung” pear to help sustainably alleviate poverty for local people.
