Phuong said their survey as part of the project showed that local students know little about Tran Yen as they lack access to document sources. Meanwhile, there are not many activities held in the district to educate young people on the matter.

"We hope our project will become an interesting channel helping improve learning the history of our district and promoting Tran Yen’s image, people, and culture,” she said.

According to her, a notable advantage of e-books is that they can be easily looked up on social networking platforms such as Facebook, and websites, or via applications, so all you need is a computer or smartphone. Anyone can read the contents of the book without having to spend a lot of time and effort searching for documents.

The e-book is divided into different topics, which are presented in texts and images, helping readers find contents according to their needs. It not only provides basic knowledge about Tran Yen’s history, geography, and culture, but also connects its past with the present to promote the potential of the district.

Le Thi Trang, a history teacher supporting the project, said the team use different sources of materials from the local library, museum, and communications centre, among others.

They also met with experienced researchers and people who have made significant contributions to the development of the district, she informed, highlighting that the e-book is trustable.

The e-book have been used by local teachers, bringing about good outcomes for their teaching.
