YênBái - On January 10, VinGroup’s Thien Tam Fund, in collaboration with the provincial Fatherland Front and relevant units, presented 1,000 gift packages, worth 600,000 VND each, to poor households in 23 communes of Luc Yen district ahead of Tet (the traditional Lunar New Year) holiday.

The move aimed to help the poor residents celebrate the traditional festival without worry. The fund will also present 1,000 gift packages to needy people in Van Chan district.
+ The standing board of the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee and the Secretariat of the provincial Vietnam Youth Federation chapter have coordinated with Tien Phong Newspaper, the provincial Department of Health, and Yen Binh district’s People's Committee to organize the 14th edition of the blood donation event "Red Sunday”, attracting 150 volunteering donors.
Nearly 80 blood units were collected at the event. With the message "Donating blood to save lives - Your life and mine", the programme is of great significance in the time when Yen Bai and the country at large are doubling efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 resulting in a blood shortage in many areas. The blood donation event is expected to help increase blood supply for emergencies and treatment, especially on the occasion of Tet holiday.
The event attracts 150 volunteering blood donors.
+ The Yen Bai City Labour Federation has delivered gifts to students at the Huong Giang centre for support and early intervention for children with disabilities, along with 10 gift packages, worth 500,000 VND each, to teachers at the centre. The centre is taking care of some 70 children.

+ Work has completed on a semi-boarding school for ethnic minority students in Nam Co, Mu Cang Chai district. The project received 5 billion VND worth of funding from Agribank Yen Bai. The three-floor school, which has nine classrooms, was constructed in 12 months.
The school has a total of 923 students, of which 762 are semi-boarding students.
