Tan Linh-Tan Lap-Phan Thanh road upgrading project launched

YênBái - The project to upgrade Tan Linh-Tan Lap-Phan Thanh road in association with tourism development in Luc Yen district has total investment of 79 billion VND (3.48 million USD), aiming to upgrade the 17.45km road to fourth-grade mountainous road with 7.5m-wide asphalt surface.

The road starts at the Sang T-junction in Tan Linh commune and ends at Thuy Van wharf in Phan Thanh commune, Luc Yen district. The project's investor is the Luc Yen Management Board for Construction Projects.

The road is among important routes connecting communes in the district, meeting the travelling and trading needs of local residents and making travelling activities more easier in flood season, while helping promote tourism activities in Thac Ba lake and surrounding areas, creating connectivity in socio-economic and tourism development in the locality, contributing to the building of new-style rural areas.

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony on November 18, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan hailed efforts by the investor, contractors and consultant agency as well as relevant parties during the project’s preparation. He highlighted the high consensus of local residents and their land donation for the projects without asking for compensation, helping speed up ground clearance for the project.

Tuan asked the Party Committees and authorities of Luc Yen district as well as communes and townships on the project site to strictly implement directions in safely and flexibly adapt to and effectively control COVID-19 pandemic.

He also requested relevant departments and agencies of the province to strengthen State management and supervision of the project, while coordinating with and creating favourable conditions for the investor and contractors to complete their work.

On the occasion, the provincial leader presented certificates of merit to five individuals and households who donated their land and trees for the road’s construction.
