After the launch of the e-government project, as many as 74 agencies and organisations in the district have obtained accounts and access to the platform so far. There are nearly 900 accounts of 27 towns and townships, 13 specialised offices and seven public services units.

At present, the People’s Committee of the district has shared online documents with its 41 offices and sectors and eight administrative units of the province. The rate of guiding documents launched on the platform reached 100 percent at the district level and over 90 percent at the commune level.

In 2016, the district teamed up with the provincial centre for information technology (IT) and communication to enhance IT application capacity for 120 civil servants in 27 towns and townships. Last year, an IT refresher course was arranged for 54 others.

To date, agencies and organisations under the People’s Committees of the district, communes and towns have completed creating staff database on the platform for frequent update and effective use.

Furthermore, the district has launched software handling administrative procedures which receives positive feedback of local people and businesses.

A unit handling public administrative procedures at the district and commune levels has begun operation since April 1. It has to date handled 415 procedures at the district level and 145 at the commune level.

Meanwhile, 43 third-level public services at the district and five others at the commune level, along with five fourth-level services at the district and two at the commune level, were processed online.

This is a breakthrough for Van Yen to maintain its lead in administrative reform index of the province for three consecutive years from 2016.

After four years of the project's implementation, the percentage of computers per staff reached 0.9 at the district and 0.8 at the commune level. All localities of the district have access to Internet. Connection speed and devices for the public services unit and the People’s Committees all meet the requirements for IT application.
