Van Yen district steps up COVID-19 prevention, control efforts

YênBái - Following the direction of the Prime Minister and Yen Bai province’s guidance documents on the implementation of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention and control, Van Yen authorities have launched 14 vonluntary groups, 14 medical quarantine checkpoints, and 24 travel control points in villages and residential areas in Mau A town and Yen Thai and Quang Minh communes, with the involvement of over 100 local volunteers.

The move, which have been strongly supported by locals, aims to effectively implement social distancing within 15 days starting 0:00 on April 1 in accordance with the directive issued by the Prime Minister and directions of the provincial authority, thus containing the spread of the disease in the locality. 
 
The groups’s members have voluntarily arranged their time for duty at the checkpoints. Every two-hour working shift is performed by two persons./.
