Yen Bai proactive in fighting Covid-19 epidemic

YênBái - The province has issued a detailed plan on responding to the "Second situation” – Plan No 16/KH-UBND dated January 31, 2020 of the provincial People’s Committee – in which first Covid-19 cases are reported in the locality.

Facing the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Yen Bai authorities have continuously issued many plans and instructions to guide local departments, sectors and local administrations in proactively preventing the spread of the disease. The measures focus on educating and encouraging people to make medical declaration; locating and quarantining people returning from disease-hit areas, foreigners, and people suspected of infection with the coronavirus; promoting hygiene practice and preventive measures; and keeping people calm amid new developments of the epidemic. 

The province has issued a detailed plan on responding to the "Second situation” – Plan No 16/KH-UBND dated January 31, 2020 of the provincial People’s Committee – in which first Covid-19 cases are reported in the locality.

In addition, the province has instructed the construction of negative-pressure rooms at the provincial general hospital to treat Covid-19 patients, which are to be completed soon. A new concentrated quarantine facility has been set up at the Yen Bai Vocational Training College in addition to the two existing ones at the provincial military school and in Nghia Lo district. The provincial Health Department, which is the standing agency of the provincial steering committee for Covid-19 prevention and control, has been issuing a press release every day on the epidemic situation and preventive measures. 

All sectors, from health, education, culture-sport-tourism to public security, military and mass organisations, have issued guidance and plans to fight Covid-19 in accordance with their functions and assigned tasks.
