Recognizing this as a national key project requiring adherence to strict timelines and standards, the district's Council and Task Force will closely coordinate with the Project Management Board of Power 1. Their focus will be on tracking progress and promptly addressing challenges encountered during implementation.
Relevant departments have been tasked with completing legal procedures, documents, and dossiers in compliance with regulations. Local communes and towns along the transmission line's route will collaborate with the district's forestry department, land management office, and village leaders to accurately identify foundation positions, gather necessary documentation, and mark boundaries. Additionally, efforts will be intensified to promote public awareness, helping residents understand the project's significance. This aims to foster community consensus and active support for land clearance and resettlement activities.
The 500kV transmission line project from Lao Cai to Vinh Yen has been approved for investment policy and investor selection by the Prime Minister. As a key national project, it aims to optimize the capacity of hydroelectric plants in the Northwest region, ensure the safe and stable operation of the national power grid, and meet the growing electricity demands for socioeconomic development. Spanning a total length of 230 kilometers, the project traverses Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, and Vinh Phuc provinces, with an estimated investment of 7 trillion VND.
The segment passing through Yen Bai Province measures over 90 kilometers, of which nearly 51 kilometers run through Yen Binh District, involving 91 tower foundation positions and permanently utilizing over 17 hectares of land. The transmission line crosses 13 communes and towns, including Xuan Long, Ngoc Chan, Cam Nhan, My Gia, Xuan Lai, Yen Thanh, Phuc An, Vu Linh, Bach Ha, Vinh Kien, Han Da, Dai Minh, and Thac Ba Town. A total of 34 households are expected to require resettlement.
