YBO - A road linking national highway 32C with Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway was opened to traffic during a ceremony held in northern Yen Bai province on May 19 to mark the 130th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh.

The road connecting national highway 32C and Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway will optimise the development of Yen Bai city and Tran Yen district toward the right bank of Red River.

The road is also one of the 12 key projects to welcome the 19th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation.

It was built at a cost of 930 billion VND (40 million USD), stretching 5.4 km. The main section is 11.4 km in length, while its branch is 4 km long. It has four lanes with road separators. The completion of the road is hoped to facilitate the development of Yen Bai city and Tran Yen district toward the right bank of Hong (Red) River.

It also serves as a driving force for luring investment and building new urban areas and malls in the province, along with the improvement of health, education, ecotourism, resort tourism, administrative centres and industrial parks in communes and wards on the right bank of the river.
