Special cultural, sports activities await visitors in Yen Binh during coming holidays

YBO - A wide range of special and attractive cultural and sports activities will take place in Yen Binh district of Yen Bai province during the National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) holidays.

They will include an opening ceremony for the programme, an amateur singing and dancing festival, a show of local ethnic groups’ costumes, a photo exhibition themed "Yen Binh and the path to the national heritage status”, the opening of a new gymnasium and a badminton and volleyball tournament, water games, and a fishing competition on Thac Ba Lake.

A street culture space with the participation of zumba and folk dance clubs, typical folk games of ethnic groups, tours of the national landscape of Thac Ba Lake, a display of products in the "One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) programme in Yen Binh, and the availability of travel demand stimulation products will also form part of the coming activities.

The main events will take place at the district’s centre, at Residential Zone No 6 - 7 in Yen Binh township from April 28 to May 1.

Other cultural and sports activities, as well as those by travel companies, will also be held across the district during the holidays.

They will last from April 28 through May 3.
