Yen Bai to support payment of health insurance for over 95,000 people

YBO - In the 2022 – 2025 period, 29 more extremely difficult communes in Yen Bai province are expected to be recognised as new-style rural areas, meaning that there will be nearly 95,200 people, equivalent to about 11.4% of the population from these communes, being not supported by the state budget anymore to buy health insurance cards.

The 7th session of the 19th-tenure provincial People's Council approved a resolution regulating the policy to support health insurance premiums for people with permanent residence in extremely difficult communes in Yen Bai province when they are recognised as new-style rural areas in the 2022-2025 period to assist those who are provided with one-time health insurance premiums from the time the commune is recognised as a new rural area until the end of the year.

The number of assisted people is expected to reach 95,173 with a total budget of over 23 billion VND (983,000 USD).
