Yen Bai: 892 students participate in provincial contest for excellent high school students

YBO - A contest of excellent high school students at the provincial level and select members for teams representing the province in the national competition in the 2021-2022 academic year took place from September 26-30 at Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Hue High School.

A total of 892 candidates competed at this year's contest, of whom 194 have been selected to form teams to participate in the national event.

The participating students, who come from 27 high schools across the province, competed in 10 subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese and Informatics.

This is the first year Yen Bai province has included the Chinese language in subjects at the contest and also the first time that the provincial Centre for Continuing Education has had candidates.

The contest of excellent students in high schools is held annually to evaluate the schools’ work in detecting and fostering excellent students, and select members for the province's teams to participate in national and international competitions.
