By 2025, Yen Bai aims to achieve a trained labor rate exceeding 70%

YBO - In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%. Of this, the proportion of workers receiving training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas is expected to reach 40.1%. Additionally, Yen Bai aims to recruit and train 18,000 new vocational trainees and transition 7,000 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors.

To achieve these objectives, Yen Bai plans to enhance the leadership and direction of local Party committees and authorities, while leveraging the roles of political and social organizations in vocational training, job creation, and labor structure transitions. The province will focus on career orientation, student placement, and admission efforts, alongside innovating and improving the quality of vocational education to meet the labor demands of enterprises and the job market.

Alongside these efforts, Yen Bai is enhancing the quality and efficiency of vocational training for rural workers to meet the requirements of improving the skills of rural laborers, ethnic minority workers, and supporting labor structure transitions. This contributes to increasing income and creating sustainable employment opportunities for workers in the province.

In 2024, the province enrolled 20,716 people in vocational training programs, achieving 115.1% of the annual plan, an increase of 0.9% compared to 2023. The trained labor rate reached 69.1%, with 38.4% of workers undergoing training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas. The province transitioned 8,206 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors, reaching 117.2% of the target, an increase of 1.4% compared to 2023. The primary areas of transition included industrial production, construction, tourism, business, and retail.
