Yen Bai City strives to achieve 56 digital transformation targets by 2025

YBO - Yen Bai City aims to complete 56 targets outlined in its Digital Transformation Plan for 2025. The city has committed to mobilizing all available resources and implementing synchronized solutions under the motto: “Innovation, Creativity, Determination, Discipline, Efficiency.”

The plan is guided by the vision, "Digital Transformation for People and Businesses—Embracing Success, Leaving No One Behind.” It centers people and businesses as the primary beneficiaries, drivers, and motivators of digital transformation. The city is dedicated to enhancing digital governance, fostering a digital economy, and building a digital society while striving to maintain and advance its ranking in the provincial Digital Transformation Index (DTI) among towns and cities in Yen Bai Province.  

To achieve these goals, all departments, agencies, and local authorities have been directed to align closely with the assigned targets and tasks. They are expected to implement comprehensive measures to not only meet but exceed the set targets in a practical and effective manner.  

Building on successful models and initiatives from 2024, the city plans to expand and enhance digital transformation across key areas, including digital governance, economic digitization, societal digitization, and digital platforms. These efforts aim to improve the convenience, transparency, and effectiveness of public services for citizens and businesses alike.  

The plan outlines 3 specific targets for digital infrastructure, 15 for digital governance, 6 for the digital economy, and 32 for the digital society. Tasks have been clearly delegated to relevant departments, agencies, and localities to ensure the successful execution of the plan.

Nghia Lo Ethnic Minority Boarding Vocational School is among the most reputable vocational training institutions in the province.

In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%. Of this, the proportion of workers receiving training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas is expected to reach 40.1%. In 2024, Yen Bai province sent 114 workers to South Korea under the Work Permit Program for foreign workers and the pilot program for sending seasonal workers to South Korea, which is part of the cooperative efforts between localities of the two countries.

A recent survey revealed that in 2025, 406 workers in Van Yen District are seeking loans for overseas employment, amounting to a total of 26.6 billion VND.
