Yen Bai sends eight delegations of medical workers to support other localities fight pandemic

YBO - On August 20 morning, 30 doctors and nurses in Yen Bai province set out for Dong Nai province to help with the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in this southern province - one of the five localities with the highest increase in the number of infections in the country at present.

The delegation includes nine doctors and 21 nurses who have qualifications as well as experience in pandemic prevention and control .

This is the eighth time Yen Bai has sent medical workers to help other localities in the fight against COVID-19.

Addressing the send-off ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh emphasized that supporting other provinces not only is a common responsibility for the country, but also helps prevent the spread of the pandemic to other localities, including Yen Bai.

She expressed her hope the delegation will do their best to overcome all difficulties and successfully complete the assigned tasks to help Dong Nai province control the pandemic.

Previously, Yen Bai has sent seven medical  delegations to support other localities, including 43 medical workers who had completed their missions in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. Meanwhile, 44 others are on duty in Ho Chi Minh City, 20 in Binh Duong province and 10 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
