Work begins on To Mau Bridge in Luc Yen district

The construction unit holds groundbreaking ceremony for To Mau Bridge.

The 159-m long bridge starts from To Mau commune and ends in Tan Linh commune. Its approach roads have a total length of 523m. The 115 billion VND (4.9 million USD) project is built by a joint venture between Hiep Phu Company Limited and TLK Transport and Investment Construction Company Limited. It is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.

Speaking at the ground-breaking event, Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said the bridge connects Yen Bai with its neighbouring Ha Giang province as well as the centre of Luc Yen district with National Highway 70, Yen Binh and Van Yen districts and Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, meeting the people’s travel and goods trading demand.

Once completed, the bridge will help shorten the transportation time of enterprises, facilitating investment attraction and development of industry and tourism in Luc Yen district as well as of Thac Ba Lake National Tourism Area, thus contributing to speeding up the district’s new-style rural building process and the socio-economic development of the province.

Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies; Ta Van Long, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council; and Tran Huy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, share the joy with the people at the groundbreaking ceremony.
